One thing I want to talk about in this blog is my love for travel & exploring. So, for my second post, let me tell you about my most recent adventure to the Windy City.
If you've ever wondered why people love Coldplay so much, it's because they not only have good music, but they also put on one of the best shows I've ever seen in my life. Recently, I drove up to Chicago with some of my favorite people for a couple of days. Our mission: go to the Coldplay concert at Soldier's Field. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint.
Coldplay does a really good job of playing songs that the whole audience will know, which is awesome! There's nothing cooler than looking out over a stadium packed with people, every single one of them singing along to Paradise.
But a life-changing concert isn't all we did with our time in Chi-town! We spent the next day exploring downtown. We covered the basic tourist spots; Millennium Park, Grant Park, Navy Pier, and Riverwalk.
Starting our day in Millennium Park, we went to Cloud Gate (also known as The Bean) first. I don't know why, but it's just something you always have to do when you're in Chicago. After, we explored some of the other art in the park before starting our venture to Grant Park, home to one of the coolest fountains I've ever seen. Buckingham Fountain is just BEAUTIFUL and i don't think enough people appreciate it.
After Millennium Park and Grant Park, we took a trolley down to Navy Pier for lunch and a stroll by the water. Even when it's near 90 degrees outside, I love walking down the pier and watching the boats.
We ended our mini vacation with one of my favorite Chicago activities; a water taxi. At the end of the day it's nice to just sit down and appreciate some of the awesome buildings downtown. By the end, we were already talking about where we wanted to go next!
